The way we use information
- We only share information by categories e.g. country, food authenticity interest etc. This information is derived from your member profile.
- We use the information you provide about yourself when registering to complete the registration process and to communicate with you.
- We use return email addresses to answer the emails we receive or to broadcast messages from the Network to all members. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above.
Our commitment to data security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. All of the documents and articles that appear on the Network are already in the public domain and are freely available.
Our commitment to children's privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. The Network is not directed to anyone younger than 18 and is offered only to users 18 years of age or older. Any person who provides their personal information through this Network represents that they are 18 years of age or older. This information is stated in the ‘Terms of Service’ of the Network.
We may use 'cookies' for administrative purposes such as cataloguing traffic patterns throughout the site and can use a 'cookie' to assign a 'User ID' for this purpose. Cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to find out the identity of any user. If you have a user ID this will automatically identify your computer - but not you - to our servers when you visit our site. Unless you specifically tell us, we will never know who you are, even if we do assign a cookie to your computer.
To protect the privacy of network members and the Network itself, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting membership or making corrections.
