Food Fraud 2017, 3 May, Manchester, UK

BEYOND TESTING:

Safeguarding the global food supply chain

With food fraud estimated to cost the UK food and drink industry up to £11 billion a year, and the level of threat to food integrity higher than ever, Food Fraud 2017 couldn’t come at a more crucial time. Food manufacturers are under pressure to ensure their products are authentic and to reassure their customers that they can be relied upon to deliver first class produce.

New Food’s one day Food Fraud conference will bring together Quality Assurance Heads from global food manufacturers and processors who need to keep up to date on the latest regulation; share best practice in preventing food fraud and to assess the most cutting edge testing technology in the sector.

The conference will offer a series of informative and practical sessions delivered by leading names in the food industry. With ample time for questions and discussions, the food fraud programme will enable attendees to gain a full insight into the issues currently relating to food fraud and plans to address these.

The day will be chaired by Chris Elliot, Professor of Food Safety, Founder of the Institute for Global Food Safety and Pro Vice Chancellor of Queen’s University Belfast. Here, Professor Elliot will introduce methods for tracking and decreasing food fraud and what can and should be done to regulate this global issue.
